10. I would like to see more easy-to-understand information being presented more regularly and professionally from Fredon Township.
I am not alone in preferring a verbal explanation, graphic, or easy-to-understand language when I look into complicated town issues and referendums.
9. I would also like to try to find ways to move dialogue to more face-to-face interactions, more telephone or video calls, and more discussions on a public Fredon Facebook page where everyone can have access and courtesy and respect will be encouraged and led by example on posts I moderate. In addition, it will be considered public record, so only threatening, inappropriate, or discriminatory comments will be deleted. Free speech as well as citizens’ rights to petition the government with concerns and opinions will be more protected on the page.
8. For those who do not use or like social media, I would also like to work to get more information to flow through email, the newsletter, and the Fredon Township website.
7. I am running because competition leads to improvements and can bring out the best in others.
6. If I don’t step up after what I have personally experienced and witnessed in town online and off, I will find it difficult to tell my own children that they better stand up for others and themselves and not be bystanders when they perceive that others are being silenced or intimidated too.
5. I am running as an Independent to see what I find on a political campaign in Fredon and then share tips on how to run for office too. So, even if I don’t succeed, I can set up others who are interested in trying again in the next election.
4. I really want to encourage more volunteerism throughout town. This begins with more appreciation and respect for our current volunteers and heroes, especially those part of the Recreation Department, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, Commissions and Boards, and Parent Teacher Club.
3. I would also like to showcase why Fredon is a great place to live through sharing stories of the benefits of living in Fredon and the interesting local individuals you can contact for help.

1. I know others do too, so let’s work together to find more solutions than problems, more sense of community, and much more civility with each other online and off.
I know we can turn the tone around to benefit us all!
